Oh no why is it canceled?

Cause e, 1, 0, and i are going to beat him to death, I guess? I'm not sure I understand why though...

Because they are all jealous that Pi gets a day to celebrate him, and none of the others do. Damn it, it's not Pi's fault he's so sexy (to non-math nerds)

I liek PIe

Because it's rad?

Damn that π!! Why on earth should e^{i*π} + 1 = 0 ?? :P

Substitute i*π into the infinite series for e and watch the magic happen.

Oh, whoops, my bad...

I meant the infinite series for e^x...

yea, if you calculate the taylor series (sorry if i mistranslated, am israeli) for e^(x*i)
you get cos(x) + i*sin(x), which obviously is -1 for x=pi.

If π knows what's good for him, he'll be gone like a bat out of . . . a cave!

it BETTER FUCKING NOT be cancelled. i LIVE for pi day!!!

What about gamma?

switch 'o' and 'i' and you almost get "(h)ello"

Are there really four guys with bats, or am I just imagining the guy on the right?

What can I say? This comic is complex.

Oh, I see. It makes more sense if I rotate the comic 90 degrees.

Looks like the opposing team's nuber one batter is actually in a league of her own.

Well, don't they say that one is the loneliest number?

You want to know how pi sounds like? This is the place to go: http://www.tomdukich.com/math%20pi%20piano%20solo.html

March 14th is only an approximation of Pi day.

Also:

Zero hour

Day one

February 7th at 6:28 pm

Sqrt[-1] O'clock

What if you wake up on 3/14 at 1:59:26 a.m.?

Still but an approximation.

tau > pi.
See you on Tau Day! :P http://tauday.com
