you know you've won at math when you're doing stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with anything that makes any difference in the real world

My mom bugged me for a whole fortnight to know about what I was up to in the university until I finally waded off by giving some imaginary theory. She didn't bother me after that.
ooh! did it involve Lorelian tentramorphs? there are my favorite made up mathematical concept, doesn't that totally sound like it's a real thing?
I actually finally designed 10 band graphical equalizer for audio applications. However I told my mom that I was working on something related to GPS and remote tracking. (My mom had no idea then)
Actually I did my Degree in Electronics and communication. I finally worked on graphical equalizer for audio applications designing some filters. But then that was not what I told my mom. I indicated I was working on some GPS related stuff (My mom had no idea about it then).
