I hste it wwhen things end up at nothing. Math is no different.

Well, that was quite a wake up call for my class tomorrow.

I did and somehow I get -6i - 2

Correction:
-6i + 2

Nope, I got zero...

Yeah I had the (1 - i) switched to (i - 1)... stupid letters and numbers looking the same :-p

Yeah, well... I got nothing.

Yep: it simplifies to 1+i[(2+1+2i-i)+ 3x2-9]
= 1 + i(3+i-3) = 1+ (-1) = 0.

:-(
