Does this include keeping stats for the team?

Especially that!

Duh. This is a true genius. If you ever stop doing it, make that the one to stay on the front page.

I... don't get it. Is it severely matemathical, or is it some English pun I don't get, or am I just stupid?

I don't think there's anything else to it. It's just describing the hard life of a mathematician.

I use math to figure out at what angle to hit something (ball, puck, etc.) so I sometimes don't notice that people are trying to have a conversation with me because I'm focused on not being a total clutz...

Giving a mathematician chalk and a board while forbidding him from doing math? That is brutal!

Well, Kevin, it is detention--but you're probably right. It is too much cruel and unusual punishment. The SUpreme Court would likely agree.

If Bart Simpson was mathematician...

That board is too small for detentions, or the kid has really large writing. I think it's the former.
